Of Martin Luther

Luther's Preface to the Small Catechism: Martin Luther, to all faithful and godly pastors and preachers: grace, mercy, and peace be yours in Jesus Christ, our Lord. The deplorable, miserable conditions which I recently observed when visiting the parishes have constrained and pressed me to put this catechism of Christian doctrine into this brief, plain, and simple form. Peter answered, "The Christ of God." John 1:41 NIV The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). John 11:27 (New International Version) 27 "Yes, Lord," she told him, "I

Majority Still Says Religion Can Answer Today's Problems

"Fifty-seven percent of Americans say that religion can answer all or most of today's problems, a view less commonly held today than in past decades.
